DAMAGE REPORTS & NEW TORNADO WATCH… New Tornado Watch has just been issued for all of Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton counties in NW Florida and Covington, Pike, Dale, Coffee, Geneva, Henry, Houston, Crenshaw, Montgomery, Lee, Barbour, and Russell counties in SE Alabama. This is in effect until 9PM. Remember, a Tornado Watch means the atmosphere is primed and ready for tornadoes. If a warning is issued for your specific area, seek shelter!

A few important early evening notes…

1) UNCONFIRMED, multiple reports that at least one mobile home has been “destroyed” in eastern Escambia County, AL near the Roberts community. This report is by a local firefighter.

2) Confirmed reports of damage due to a possible tornado near Molino, Florida in central Escambia (FL) County. Several structures have reported damage and several trees were apparently knocked down. We note that no tornado warning was in effect at the time this damage happened.

3) The severe weather issues this evening are most likely going to occur across the eastern half of our local area, west of a line from Monroeville to Bay Minette to Gulf Shores. BE READY if a tornado warning is issued for your local area.
