Numerous showers and storms continue to slide WSW across our region. At the moment, there are three clusters of storms on the larger and stronger side…
1) Heavy rain and small hail is happening near Canoe and Wawbeek as a large thunderstorm approaches Atmore from the east.
2) A cluster of storms in central Baldwin County near Stapleton and Steelwood is producing heavy rain along US31 and AL59.
3) Lots of lightning is happening in the storm near Peterman, Tunnel Springs, and Scratch Ankle in northwest Monroe County.
Storms will continue to ramp up and ramp down over the next few hours… Widespread severe weather is not expected. I’ll be monitoring radar trends closely.
