CENTRAL ALABAMA UPDATE… A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues for much of central and northern Alabama until 10PM. Big storms are in progress along the I-20 corridor in northern Talladega, southern Calhoun, and much of Cleburne counties in east Alabama. There are also storms happening across Shelby, northern Coosa, and northern Tuscaloosa counties as of 2:24PM. Damaging wind gusts and potentially large hail will be possible in the stronger storms across central Alabama over the next few hours. Here’s a quick radar update…

CLOSER TO HOME… Isolated storms continue to pop up across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Severe weather is not expected around our area, but there are a few “loud and proud” storms around. At the moment, the heaviest rain is happening near Munson in northeast Santa Rosa County over the Blackwater River State Forest. Storms will continue to pop up over the next few hours.
