Heavy rain and lots of lightning are happening in the northern part of Escambia County, Alabama. Storms are sliding southward into places like Brewton, Appleton, Riverview, East Brewton, Kirkland, Pollard, and Pineview.
Worth repeating… The tornado risk today is VERY, very low. Tornado warnings are not likely. These storms are producing gusty winds and small hail, in some cases. Most spots will see heavy rain and lots of lightning and that’s about it. There could be a few tree limbs down, but widespread damage is not expected.
