NICE, WARM TUESDAY; SHOWERS ON WEDNESDAY… Today is the 2018 Primary Election in the state of Alabama. Weather certianly won’t be hindering turnout in most spots today as we have an overall nice day ahead! ?? Don’t forget to go VOTE if you’re an Alabama resident! (Florida’s primary will be on August 28) High temperatures will be around 90° as most spots continue to bask in the drier, more stable air mass that’s in place across our region. Rain chances are low today, as in between 0-10%. If a shower does develop today, it will likely be over the southwestern flank of our area. Washington, Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia (FL), Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties all have a low-end rain chance. Inland counties are likely to be completely dry in most spots. Have the rain gear close by, just in case. Again, we’ll call it a 0-10% chance of rain since vast majority of us should be dry.

FEW SHOWERS TOMORROW… A few showers and thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday ahead of another shot of drier, warm air on Thursday. Rain chances will likely rise again this weekend as a warm, southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico returns to our region. Severe weather is not expected over the next week.

TROPICS QUIET… The north Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and Gulf of Mexico remain quiet. The National Hurricane Center suggests that no tropical storm formation is expected over the next 5-7 days.

I’ll have radar update posts as needed today here in the RedZone Weather app.

I’ve got all the details for you in your Tuesday #rzw forecast video that is available here… Have a great day!
