Scattered thunderstorms continue to produce heavy rain and lots of cloud-to-ground lightning near Brewton, Evergreen, Lenox, Repton, Pensacola Beach, Perdido Key, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Fort Morgan, and Dauphin Island.
We note much of Walton County, Florida remains under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning due to a storm over Mossy Head and Freeport producing potentially damaging winds in excess of 60mph. Isolated instances of trees being blown down and other minor damage will be possible there. The warning includes areas north of Choctawhatchee Bay. At the moment, places near Miramar Beach are NOT included.
Storms will continue to pop up over the next few hours before we start to lose daytime heating around 8PM.
