While there are widely scattered storms happening across Covington, Butler, and Escambia (AL) counties, the heaviest rain in our region at the moment is clearly happening over southern Conecuh County near Castleberry, Sandcut, Nymph, Jay Villa, Old Sparta, and Mt. Union. We note that substantial lightning output is happening with this thunderstorm, which generally points to very heavy rain happening at the surface.
