MANY THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING… As expected, numerous showers and thunderstorms continue to dot the landscape across south Alabama and northwest Florida. As of 3:44PM, the heaviest rain in our region is happening along the AL21 corridor near Atmore, Poarch, Robinsonville, and Huxford near Wind Creek Casino & Hotel.

Storms are also happening in northwest Florida near Brownsdale, Munson, Lake Stone, Barrineau Park, Campton, and Glendale. Same thing over in west Alabama, where storms are dropping heavy rain along the US43 corridor near McIntosh, Sunflower, and Wagerville.

None of the storms have ramped up to severe levels today (so far) and widespread severe weather is not expected. I’ll continue to provide updates at least once per hour here in the RZWeather app until 7PM when storms begin to fade.
