STORMS DEVELOPING FARTHER EAST… Most of the shower and thunderstorm action, so far today, has been confined to Mobile and Baldwin counties and coastal stretches of northwest Florida. That has now changed as we have big storms firing inland across Escambia (FL) and Santa Rosa counties. We also note tiny blips on the radar in Escambia (AL), Covington, and Conecuh counties, indicating that big thunderstorms are about to pop up in those counties as well. Expect scattered heavy rain downpours over the next few hours as storms fire up.

Storms will start to weaken this evening once we begin to lose daytime heating. I’ll have more updates this afternoon here in the RZWeather app.
