STORMS AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON… Most of us are starting the day with partly cloudy skies, but just like clockwork, thunderstorms are expected to fire up this afternoon across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will edge up a tiny bit, meaning most of us should end up in the mid-90s by 2PM. Rain coverage will be just a bit lower today, but there still will be MANY storms around this afternoon. Some of the storms may be on the stronger side at times, capable of producing gusty winds, ample cloud-to-ground lightning, and heavy downpours of rain.

HOT WEEKEND AHEAD… Seasonal weather is upcoming for the Alabama and northwest Florida weekend. High temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90s with morning lows in the low- to mid-70s. While there will be thunderstorms around in the afternoon and evening hours, I think that storm coverage will be less numerous than what our area has had over the last few days. I still expect scattered downpours of heavy rain with lots of lightning.

TROPICS REMAIN QUIET… No tropcial trouble is expected in the Atlantic basin over the next few days. The “Atlantic basin” includes the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Atlantic Ocean. Always good news this time of year!

I’ve got all the details and graphics in your Thursday #rzw forecast video that will be posted shortly here in the RZWeather app…… Have a wonderful day!
