The first showers and thunderstorms of the day have popped up across southern Baldwin County, near Gulf Shores, Foley, and Summerdale. These storms are producing heavy rain and cloud-to-ground lightning.
More storms will pop up over the next few hours across south Alabama and northwest Florida.
