Convective initiation just isn’t happening across Tennessee and Arkansas as initially anticipated. The tornado watch that is in effect for the northern counties of the state may need to be cancelled early unless we see storms fire up soon. Still way too early to give an “all clear” for north and central Alabama just yet. Stay tuned.
Reminder: Widespread severe weather is NOT and has NOT been expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Thunderstorms will be possible. Severe storms are far less likely compared to the northern half of Alabama. I’ll be monitoring radar trends.
