The severe thunderstorm warning for southern Butler County has been cancelled. The warning has also been cancelled for Gantt Lake, Clearview, Gantt, Straughn, Andalusia, Heath, River Falls, Brooks, and Red Level in Covington County as the severe hail storm has moved east of those areas. Strong storms continue to produce heavy rain and lightning in three separate areas across Butler County (near Garland, near Oaky Streak, and near Fort Dale), but these storms are below severe limits as of this moment.
The hail core associated with the severe thunderstorm is now over Rose Hill and Dozier, where a severe thunderstorm warning continues.
We also note another round of developing storms near Nadawah in northern Monroe County just north of Beatrice. I’ll be watching these storms carefully as they move southeast.
