SEVERAL LOUD STORMS… Multiple “loud and proud” thunderstorms continue to bring heavy downpours of rain to communities across south Alabama and northwest Florida this evening. We had many isolated, small showers and storms earlier. Storms have now evolved into larger storms that are producing quite a bit of lightning output.

SEVERE STORM OVER EGLIN AFB… The strongest storm in our region at the moment is over rural parts of Okaloosa County just south of Crestview and just north of Fort Walton Beach. Heavy rain is happening right now along FL85 between Crestview/Antioch Road and Niceville.

STRONG STORMS ELSEWHERE… Strong storms continue to bring heavy rain and lightning to communities like Munson, Berrydale, Fidelis, Dixonville, Sellersville, Travis Road, Jeddo, and Excel. These storms are not severe, but they are strong.

TRAVEL ALERT… We previously mentioned (in an earlier post) about the 18 wheeler that is overturned on I-65 between the Flomaton/Wallace and Atmore/Uriah exits. No updates from that situation yet, but we advise no travel on I-65 at the moment between Exits 57 and 69 in Escambia County, Alabama due to this accident.
