Showers and thunderstorms will fire up over the next few hours across the region. Storms will again move from southwest to northeast. If you’re at the beach or engaged in an outside activity, keep close tabs on the radar throughout the day as storms will fire up with little warning. Severe weather is not expected, but some of the storms could be on the strong side.
