CLEARING SKIES ON THIS THURSDAY… Sunshine will return in full force today to south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will be around 84° in most spots across the region. Cooler, drier, stable air will be moving in this evening. A fantastic weekend is upcoming with nothing but sunshine and nice, comfortable, fall temperatures. Highs will be near 80° with morning lows in the upper-50s in most spots.

TV WEATHER TONIGHT… If you’re in central Alabama or the Birmingham, Alabama television market, be sure to join me tonight on WVUA23 News at 5, 6, and 10PM. It’s on channel 23 on most cable/satellite providers. I’ll be doing TV weather just for tonight. Always a treat to “keep my feet wet” in the television world! Before I worked as youth minister (before my current job here at RedZone Weather), I worked at WVUA doing weekend weather on TV a few years ago. Hope you’ll join us tonight.

HURRICANE MICHAEL LONG GONE… Michael is now a weakening tropical storm along the East Coast of the U.S. I still can’t believe that the 3rd most intense hurricane to ever strike the continental United States roared ashore yesterday. The images and videos I’ve seen of the damage near Panama City, Tyndall AFB, Port St. Joe, and Mexico Beach in particular have been horrifying. Our prayers go out to every person affected by this terrible hurricane. Thank you again to everyone who watched our coverage over the last week!

See all the forecast details in your Thursday #rzw forecast video that will be available shortly… Enjoy the day!
