COLD MONDAY; SUNSHINE RETURNS LATER TODAY… We’re starting the day below the freezing mark with most spots across the region in the 20s as of 7AM. Temperatures will climb above freezing in the next 2 hours before rising to near 50° this afternoon. The brisk northwest wind will make the air temperature feel cooler than it actually is throughout the day. Keep the jackets handy! Rain is set to return late tomorrow (Tuesday) evening before bigger rain chances on Wednesday. Let’s look at details…

ANOTHER COLD NIGHT AHEAD… We won’t be AS cold at 6AM on Tuesday compared to overnight lows this morning, but we will be in the low- to mid-30s across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Temperatures will begin to moderate somewhat on Tuesday afternoon, likely reaching the upper-50s in most spots.

RAIN P.M. TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY… Isolated showers will be possible in the late afternoon and evening hours of Tuesday ahead of a more pronounced rain chance on Wednesday. Thunderstorms are not expected Tuesday evening, but we could have a few storms around on Wednesday. For now, severe weather parameters remain very low and basically at zero. If that changes, we will let you know here on Facebook and in the RedZone Weather app.

COOLER END TO THE WEEK… Another cold front will pass through our region on Wednesday, ushering in another shot of cold, dry air. High temperatures later this week will again drop into the 50s with overnight lows in the 20s and 30s by Friday morning. Our next rain chance (after midweek) happens Saturday into Sunday.
