INCREASING TEMPS THIS WEEKEND; RAIN EARLY NEXT WEEK… This weekend will be quite nice and fairly quiet with quite a bit of sunshine in place today, on Saturday, and some on Sunday as well. There could be some patchy areas of dense fog, especially near the coast over the next few days. Our next chance of rain comes on Monday when a cold front will approach the area from the northwest. Let’s talk about what you can expect for the weekend and early next week…

PLENTY OF SUNSHINE TODAY AND ON SATURDAY… No significant weather issues are expected today (Friday) or on Saturday. High temperatures today rise just a hair above our afternoon highs from previous days. Most spots will peak around 72° by 3PM. We rise into the mid- to upper-70s on Saturday afternoon with most spots hitting the 74-76° range by the middle part of the afternoon. A few clouds may move in from the west on Saturday, particularly later in the day.

RAIN CHANCE TAKEN OUT FOR SUNDAY… We’ve been advertising a low (10-20%) chance of rain for Sunday, but we have removed that from our latest forecast. Why? It appears that showers will remain well to our west on Sunday, keeping our area dry until Monday. Highs on Sunday will rise into the mid- to upper-70s with partly cloudy skies. If you’re planning to head out to the golf course or perhaps out to morning church services on Sunday, no major weather issues are expected. Good news!

RAIN MONDAY INTO TUESDAY… The system that will move across our area on Monday into the early part of Tuesday should remain weak enough that severe weather will likely NOT be an issue for our area. The wind fields and expected instability (for now, based on the latest data) will likely be weak and not supportive of stronger storms. I do think there may be a few thunderstorms around Monday evening, but the chance of severe weather remains low. Plan for scattered showers and storms for Monday P.M. into Tuesday A.M.

LATE NEXT WEEK… Wednesday and Thursday will be dry ahead of another rain/storm chance setting up for Friday into Saturday. That system has the potential to be more potent compared to the one that moves through earlier in the week. Certainly nothing to stress over now. We’ll keep watching and bring you the latest developments over the next few days.
