PICTURE PERFECT WEATHER CONTINUES… Sunshine and warm temperatures are set to continue today into Monday and Tuesday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures on this Sunday are peaking in the mid-80s under mostly sunny skies. There are a few high passing clouds, but nothing in the way of rain is expected today, tonight, Monday, or Tuesday. Looking ahead, our next rain chance sets up on Wednesday. Let’s look at a few details…

WARM DAYS, MILD NIGHTS UPCOMING… High temeperatures will trend just a hair warmer over the next few days. Monday will feature afternoon temperatures around 87° with highs near 90° by Tuesday. Overnight lows will be in the upper-50s. Mostly sunny skies are expected on both Monday and Tuesday.

FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE WEDNESDAY… We’ll call it a 20% chance of showers on Wednesday afternoon as there could be a few blips on the radar, indicating a few small showers around. Vast majority of us should remain dry.

The potential for any strong to severe storms remains VERY LOW, if not zero, for the next 7 days! Nice after a very active few weeks.

See all the graphics and details in your Sunday #rzw forecast video in the post above… My next forecast video will be posted by 7:15AM on Monday. Let me know if you have any questions. Have a great Sunday evening!

SUNNY WEEKEND (FORECAST BELOW)…

REMEMBERING APRIL 27, 2011… April 27 is forever associated with the Super Outbreak of violent tornadoes that affected Alabama and the Deep South in 2011. The number 252 is forever seared in my mind as that is how many Alabamians perished in tornadoes on that day with 2,000+ others directly injured by tornadoes. Damage was extensive and catastrophic in several cities and places across the state. There are still (8 years later) noticeable scars in some central/north Alabama forests from where these tornadoes happened. The 4/27/2011 event was a generational outbreak of tornadoes that only happens once or twice in a lifetime. Today, we pause and remember the families and friends of the tornado victims from that devastating, horrendous event – 8 years ago today.

SUNNY, NEAR PERFECT SATURDAY… Full sunshine is likely all day on this Saturday across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Temperatures will peak around the 80 degree mark at about 3PM. Special thanks to Wes Brown for this photo from near Lyeffion in Conecuh County, AL.

CALM PATTERN THROUGH WEDNESDAY… No weather issues are expected through Wednesday, other than patchy areas of dense fog in the early morning hours. High temperatures will be in the 80s over the next few days with morning lows in the 50s/60s.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE: THURSDAY… Yep, you guessed it! We’ve upped rain chances for Thursday (this is the 5th consecutive Thursday that rain has been expected!) to 30%. It’s too early to know whether severe weather issues will be possible but that will be something we will assess over the next few days. Stay tuned and be sure to check back with me for updates.

Have a great Saturday!

EXTENDED STREAK OF SUNNY, WARM DAYS AHEAD… Clouds continue to exit our area to the east on this Friday morning. High temperatures today will peak near the 80 degree mark. We should have completely sunny skies by the end of the day. Overnight lows by 6AM Saturday morning will be around 50°. Full sunshine is expected Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and into the middle part of next week. High temperatures will be in the 80s, perhaps near 90° by Tuesday, with morning lows in the 60s. Our next rain chance comes on Friday of the upcoming week. QUIET, nice, sunny weather is ahead! I know I can’t be the only one looking forward to it?!

No #rzw forecast video this morning as I am on the road headed to a weather presentation. Enjoy the glorious weekend weather! Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great weekend!
