LOUD STORMS NEAR MOBILE & BREWTON… A decaying mesoscale convective system (MCS) continues to push across our region, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and quite a bit of lightning in some cases. At at the moment, the strongest storms associated with this complex of rain are happening near Brewton, Appleton, East Brewton, Riverview, Mobile, Saraland, Prichard, and Theodore.
WHAT TO EXPECT – NEXT FEW HOURS… The good news is this passing complex of rain and storms will help to stabilize the atmosphere somewhat as we go into the afternoon/evening hours. Showers and storms will continue to push eastward into Baldwin County, northwest Florida, and Covington County over the next 2-3 hours. Rain and storms (generally well under severe limits) will continue across the region.
