SUNNY TODAY; FEW SHOWERS LATE TONIGHT?… Warm, sunny conditions are expected on this Thursday before a few clouds move in later this evening. High temperatures will peak in the upper-80s around 3PM. There is a very small, yet not zero, chance of a few showers moving into inland areas from the north late this evening. We’re also looking ahead to our next significant chance of rain on Monday. Let’s talk details…

MOSTLY SUNNY TODAY; WARM… Plenty of sunshine will be in place throughout the day across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures will peak around 90° in most spots.

ISOLATED SHOWERS POSSIBLE AFTER 7PM… Vast majority of the local area will remain dry all day and into the night, however there could be a shower or two that pops up across central Alabama and drifts into the inland stretches of south Alabama before midnight. Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Covington, and Escambia (AL) counties have a low (10-20% max) chance of rain late this evening.

MORE SUNSHINE FRIDAY & SATURDAY… Dry conditions are expected on Friday and on Saturday with high temperatures again in the upper-80s and low-90s. Mostly sunny skies are likely Friday ahead of a few clouds moving in on Saturday.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY… Pop-up storms will become possible on Sunday afternoon and evening ahead of a bigger rain chance on Monday. It’s too early to know specifics about rain amounts, but odds are we won’t have significant severe weather issues with this system.

LIGHTNING STRIKE RECOVERY CONTINUES… We continue to install new equipment in our RedZone Weather studio in Brewton, AL after our lightning strike damage on Sunday morning.
