TORNADO WATCH UPDATE… Good news to report as of 8:52AM. The tornado watch has been cancelled for Monroe, Conecuh, Butler, Clarke, Washington, Choctaw, Wilcox, and Crenshaw counties. The airmass across those inland counties has stabalized and is not as conducive for severe storms at this point. NWS Mobile maintains the tornado watch until 10AM for Escambia (AL), Covington, Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia (FL), Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa counties. The Storm Prediction Center has indicated they are in the process of evaluating on if a new weather watch will be needed for the late morning and early afternoon hours. I’ll let you know when or if we get a new watch.
