TROPICAL DEPRESSION 29 FORMS… The tropical disturbance we’ve been tracking in the Caribbean Sea has increased in organization this evening to the point that it is now being classified as Tropical Depression 29. TD29 is expected to become a hurricane before moving onshore in Central America, likely in Honduras or Nicaragua. Local impacts in south Alabama and northwest Florida seem unlikely at the moment.
We will keep watching this system and bring you the latest over the next few days. This will become Tropical Storm Eta (the Greek Alphabet letter after Zeta and before Theta) once it takes a name.
