SUNNY WEDNESDAY; RAIN & STORMS THIS WEEKEND… Sunshine with slightly warmer temperatures are the local weather story on this Wednesday. Rain and storms are set to return this weekend as a potent cold front arrives. Before we get there, sunshine is set to continue through tomorrow and Friday morning. Overall, we remain in a quiet weather pattern due to a big ridge of high pressure keeping us dry through at least Friday evening. A few more Wednesday forecast details are below.
SLIGHTLY WARMER THROUGH FRIDAY… Temperatures will continue to trend a bit warmer through Friday as high temperatures approach or perhaps briefly surpass the 70 degree mark. Overnight lows tonight will be in the upper-30s. By Saturday, lows will rise into the 50s due to a higher amount of cloud cover in place across the region. Sunshine will be in place through Friday morning. Cloud coverage increases Friday afternoon into the evening hours.
RAIN & STORMS ON SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY… Rain and perhaps a few thunderstorms will return to our forecast this weekend as a cold front approaches. Rain chances look to be highest on Saturday into Saturday evening. The overall chance of any stronger or severe thunderstorms, for now, looks quite low. Winds will shift from out of the south to out of the north as a cold front slides by our area late Sunday. High temps on both Saturday and Sunday will be near 70 in most spots.
COOLER TEMPS EARLY NEXT WEEK… The showers and storms we will likely have at times this weekend are due, in part, to a cold front that will move through our region on Sunday. Temperatures will fall considerably Sunday night. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper-60s. By Monday morning, most locales will start in the low-40s. High temperatures on Monday will only be in the mid-50s. Temperatures will yet again briefly drop below freezing Monday night into early Tuesday morning.
