HAPPY NEW YEAR… I am going to take it that this is a sign that 2021 is going to be a much better year: The ongoing severe weather risk simply is not materializing.
While I can’t completely rule out a few strong to marginally severe storms through the late morning hours, it has become increasingly clear that the overall risk of tornadoes and damaging winds is now much lower for all locales in south Alabama and northwest Florida. Intermittent rain will continue over the next few hours. I’ll keep watching trends and IF, (by chance) we have a tornado warning locally, we will go into our live video coverage.
