SHOWERS LIKELY OVERNIGHT INTO SUNDAY… Cloud coverage will be on the increase on this Saturday ahead of increasing rain chances tonight into Sunday morning. High temperatures today will be in the mid-60s. Isolated showers will become possible as early as this evening after sunset, but I expect much of the rain to move across our region from west to east on Sunday morning. The greatest chance of rain will be from 3AM to 10AM Sunday.

NO SEVERE WEATHER EXPECTED SUNDAY… The rain tonight will happen in the form of scattered showers. Thunderstorms should be quite limited as instability will be meager with this passing weather system. Severe weather is not expected. I expect much of the rain to be to our east by midday Sunday. Lingering showers should move out by the early evening hours. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the low-70s right before a cold front moves through the area.

MUCH COOLER MONDAY INTO TUESDAY… Temperatures will again be near our climatological norms on Monday with highs likely to be in the 50s. Overnight lows will be in the mid-30s on Tuesday morning. Cloudy skies will likely persist into Monday, but we should have at least some clearing by the end of the day. Tuesday will feature mostly sunny skies.

I will have radar updates posted tonight and into Sunday in the RedZone Weather app. Have a wonderful Saturday!

SUNNY & COOL TODAY; RAIN RETURNS SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY… Get set for a gorgeous Friday and a nice Saturday ahead of increasing rain chances Saturday night into Sunday. High temperatures today will be near the 60 degree mark. Full sunshine is expected for much of the day with only a low chance of seeing a few passing clouds this afternoon. Cloud coverage will increase later tonight into Saturday. Temperatures will surge into the 60s tomorrow ahead of scattered showers becoming possible Saturday night into Sunday morning. The good news is we continue to see no signs of severe weather issues for our local area despite the high rain chances Sunday morning. Your full weekend forecast details are below.

CHILLY TONIGHT: LOWS IN THE 30s… Temperatures will again dip into the mid-30s by 6AM on Saturday. Some spots in northern parts of Clarke, Monroe, Conecuh, and Butler counties could briefly flirt with the freezing mark by daybreak. Most spots will remain just above freezing on Saturday morning, however. Clouds will increase in coverage overnight into Saturday.

MILDER TEMPS ON SATURDAY… Winds will shift from out of the east to out of the south on Saturday morning, meaning warmer, more humid Gulf air will surge in across the region. Highs on Saturday will be in the mid-60s.

SHOWERS POSSIBLE SATURDAY NIGHT… Rain will become possible in the form of scattered showers on Saturday evening. For now, it looks like the chance of any thunderstorms remains low. The best chance of any thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday will be near the immediate beach zones where instability values are slightly higher.

RAIN LIKELY AT TIMES SUNDAY MORNING; CLEARING IN P.M. HOURS… Scattered showers will persist into the late morning hours of Sunday. Highs on Sunday will happen in the middle of the day around Noon, just before the passage of a cold front. Most spots will rise into the low-70s. Cooler, drier air will move in behind the cold front late Sunday afternoon into the evening hours. Rain chances drop to zero by Sunday evening.

PARTLY CLOUDY & COOL EARLY NEXT WEEK… Other than a few passing clouds, Monday, Tuesday, into Wednesday look fairly quiet for now. Highs will be in the 50s early in the week with lows in the low- to mid-30s. Our next rain chance (after Sunday) will likely happen in the latter half of the upcoming week.

SUNNY & COOLER TODAY; RAIN RETURNS SUNDAY… Plenty of sunshine and cooler temperatures are expected on this Thursday. Most spots are starting the day in the 40s and upper-30s inland. Temperatures will rise into the upper-50s this afternoon. Tonight will likely be the coldest night of the next 7 to 10 nights with overnight lows likely to be near or just below the freezing mark by daybreak on Friday. We’re also looking ahead to the weekend when we could have another round of rain and perhaps a few thunderstorms by Sunday morning. Below are all of your full forecast details.

LOWS NEAR OR JUST BELOW FREEZING FRIDAY MORNING… Temperatures tonight into Friday morning will be chilly. We’ll be in the 40s by 9PM tonight with 30s expected by 11PM. Overnight lows on Friday morning will be in the 29-33° range. Most spots north of U.S. Highway 84 will briefly be below freezing with areas closer to the coast likely to be just above freezing.

SUNNY, COOL FRIDAY… Full sunshine is likely on Friday with high temperatures near 60. There could be a few clouds streaming in from the southwest by the time we get to Friday evening.

DRY SATURDAY MORNING; SHOWERS POSSIBLE SATURDAY EVENING… Southerly winds will continue to usher in warmer, more humid air from the Gulf on Saturday. While the morning hours of Saturday are expected to be dry, there is a growing chance we could see a few showers after sunset. Highs on Saturday will rise into the upper-60s.

RAIN AT TIMES SUNDAY AHEAD OF COLD FRONT… Rain is likely at times on Sunday, particularly in the morning hours. Temperatures will rise into the low-70s by the middle of the day. For now, it looks like this will primarily be a rain event. There could be some embedded thunderstorms, but severe weather remains unlikely.

SEASONAL FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK… Monday, Tuesday, into Wednesday look fairly seasonal with highs expected to be in the 50s and near 60 by Wednesday. Overnight lows will be in the 30s. We could see a few showers returning to the area by Wednesday, but confidence in that idea remains low.
