RAIN APPROACHING WEST ALABAMA… Light rain is happening now across parts of our region, specifically near Perdido, Atmore, Millry, Silas, and Toxey. Heavier rain will likely begin in the next 2 hours or so across parts of west Alabama, specifically in Choctaw and Washington counties. Right now, storms appear to be well below severe limits across southeast Mississippi.
There is one persistent supercell storm moving into areas near Kentwood, Louisiana that we will need to monitor over the next few hours. That cell could ultimately move into southeast Mississippi and maybe even Mobile County IF the storm holds together. There is a real chance this cell will weaken over the next few hours.
