TORNADO WATCH TILL 10PM; SEVERE STORMS ON THE WAY… A Tornado Watch is now in effect until 10PM for all parts of Escambia (AL), Conecuh, Butler, Monroe, Clarke, Washington, Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia (FL), and Santa Rosa counties. Please have a way to get urgent weather warnings over the next few hours. I am particularly concerned about the potential for damaging wind gusts capable of causing numerous trees to fall in the hours ahead. In addition, tornadoes will be possible.

SITUATION UPDATE AS OF 3:40PM… Right now, we are monitoring an intense line of thunderstorms producing damaging straight line winds and tornadoes across Mississippi. This line has a history of knocking down trees and power lines. This line of storms will approach west Alabama over the next hour. This line of storms will likely cross our area from 5PM to 10PM. If you get a tornado warning or severe thunderstorm warning for your specific location, please take shelter immediately. We will have ongoing live updates over the next few hours and of course, we will “go live” and stay live if we have any active tornado warnings for the local area.

More updates are being posted in the RedZone Weather app. redzoneweather.com/app
