SUNSHINE RETURNS TODAY; GORGEOUS WEEKEND AHEAD… Clouds are gone for many locales, giving way to what will likely be a gorgeous, sunny Thursday for many spots across the region. High temperatures today will be in the upper-70s and near 80. Full sunshine is ahead for Friday and Saturday ahead of increasing cloudiness on Sunday. Temperatures will rise into the upper-80s by Sunday afternoon as a warm, southerly flow off the Gulf of Mexico yet again starts increasing humidity levels across the region. Rain chances are set to rise yet again (cue the groans. I know, I know, trust me!) on Monday as we enter into yet another unsettled few days with high rain chances. A few more Thursday morning forecast notes are below.

PERFECT WEATHER AHEAD… Sunshine is the story this afternoon and all day on Friday. Highs will be in the upper-70s today ahead of overnight lows early Friday morning in the mid-50s. We rebound into the low-80s on Friday afternoon. No rain is expected today, tomorrow, or into the weekend.

SUNNY SATURDAY; CLOUDS RETURN SUNDAY… Mostly sunny skies are ahead for Saturday. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-80s. By Sunday afternoon, some communities could easily have high temperatures in the mid- to upper-80s. Clouds will start to increase in coverage on Sunday in the afternoon and evening hours, but it looks like rain will hold off until after sunset on Sunday.

RAIN AND STORMS MONDAY INTO TUESDAY… Monday could feature heavy rain at times, especially across inland areas as a shortwave trough develops to our west and ultimately pushes to our northeast. This setup does not “scream severe weather” as much as it looks like a situation where quite a bit of rain and perhaps noisy thunderstorms could be possible. I’ll keep watching trends this weekend, but this looks more like a rain event compared to a big severe weather event setting up early next week.
