HOT TEMPS AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON; SHOWERS POSSIBLE THIS WEEKEND… More sunshine and more heat are ahead on this Wednesday and through Friday ahead of rain returning to our forecast this weekend. Not everyone will have rain during the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, but some communities inevitably will see a few showers. High temperatures today will be in the low- to mid-90s across the region. Temperatures will remain elevated into the weekend with highs likely to be near the 90 degree mark. Right now, there are no signs of any organized severe weather events or organized tropical events locally anytime over the next 7-10 days. A few more Wednesday morning forecast details are below.

HOT AND DRY THROUGH FRIDAY…. No rain is expected today, tomorrow, or Friday. Plenty of sunshine, high UV indices, and a few passing cumulus clouds will be what you can expect through Friday. High temperatures are slated to be in the low-90s with morning lows in the mid- to upper-60s.

FEW SHOWERS & STORMS POSSIBLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY… A few showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms will become possible this weekend as a big ridge of high pressure ever so slightly starts to break down. Rain could be heavy in localized areas, but the good news is this will not be an “all day washout” event. Showers and storms are expected to remain quite scattered in nature. Highs this weekend into early next week will remain near the 90 degree mark.

TROPICS REMAIN QUIET… No tropical storms are expected to develop in the north Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or the Gulf of Mexico over the next 5-7 days. Hurricane season for the Atlantic Basin officially kicks off on Tuesday, June 1.
