LOUD STORMS LOCALLY; TROPICAL UPDATE… Thunder was quite loud across many communities last night between 9PM and midnight! Thanks to Regina Black for this view of the lightning that happened at Old Salem, AL near Mexia and Monroeville. More pop-up thunderstorms will be possible today into this evening. High temperatures will again rise to around 90° in many spots this afternoon.

TROPICAL UPDATE… The National Hurricane Center continues to suggest there is a 40-50% chance of a tropical storm forming in the southern Gulf of Mexico in the Bay of Campeche region in the next 5 days. It remains too early to know if local impacts will happen due to this developing storm OR if any United States impacts will happen at all. Something to be aware of in the days ahead, but certainly nothing to worry about for now. I’ll have a more detailed update a bit later today.

Have a nice Sunday!
