MINDY MAKES LANDFALL NEAR APALACHICOLA… Just a few hours after forming, the center of Tropical Storm Mindy is now on land in the Florida Panhandle just east of Panama City. The center of Mindy made landfall near St. Vincent Island near Apalachicola.

Rain and storms will continue in the Florida Panhandle region in the hours ahead. There is a low-end risk of a few tornadoes in areas along and east of the center of the storm. Note that our entire local area in south Alabama and northwest Florida west of Destin and Crestview are very much on the western side of the circulation associated with Mindy.

A few showers and storms are likely overnight locally. Widespread severe weather is not expected.

My next forecast video will be posted by 7:15AM tomorrow morning. Have a nice evening!
