SUNNY TODAY & TUESDAY AHEAD OF RAIN ON THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY… Sunshine is expected all day across much of the Deep South, including across our entire local area, on this Monday. After a chilly start with many communities showing lows in the 30s this morning, temperatures will rebound into the low- to mid-70s by this afternoon. Temperatures will gradually creep up over the next few days. By Thursday morning, overnight lows will be in the 50s with highs in the mid- to upper-70s. Showers will be possible on Veterans Day Thursday ahead of another cold front slated to move across our area on Friday. A reinforcing shot of cooler air arrives this weekend. I’ve got all of your Monday morning forecast notes below.

MILD DAYS, COLD NIGHTS AHEAD… Calm weather conditions are expected through Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-70s with overnight lows again near 40 tonight into Tuesday morning. Low temperatures will gradually be a bit warmer (in the 40s and then 50s) later this week.

RAIN POSSIBLE ON VETERANS DAY THURSDAY… Moisture return ahead of the cold front slated to move by later this week is expected to be rather limited, however, we likely will have some showers across our region on Thursday into Friday. For now, severe weather seems highly unlikely with this advancing cold front. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid-70s.

ANOTHER SHOT OF COOLER AIR THIS WEEKEND… Dry conditions return to our forecast on Saturday with mostly sunny skies to kick off the weekend. Highs on Saturday will only be in the low-60s with overnight lows likely to be in the low-40s this weekend.

WANDA DISSIPATES; TROPICS NOW COMPLETELY QUIET… Tropical Storm Wanda became extratropical yesterday morning, meaning the Atlantic Basin is now without any tropical storms or hurricanes. No tropical storms are expected to develop over the next 7 days in the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, or the Atlantic Ocean. Good news!
