QUITE CHILLY TODAY; FAIRLY BENIGN WEATHER PATTERN AHEAD… Winter has officially returned this morning as most locales have temperatures near or just below the freezing mark as we start the day. High temperatures will only be in the mid- to upper-40s today as a strong north wind continues to usher in colder air. Overnight lows will again drop to near or just below freezing by 6AM Tuesday. Slightly warmer days are ahead through Wednesday. Our next rain chance will happen Thursday when a few showers may become possible.
HIGH TEMPS IN THE 40s TODAY; LOWS BELOW FREEZING TONIGHT… There is a high chance that the vast majority of communities across our region will not get to 50 degrees this afternoon, meaning most of us will be stuck in the mid- to upper-40s throughout the afternoon. Keep those jackets and gloves handy as today could end up being one of the coldest days of the entire year. Certainly not everyday we have HIGHS in the 40s!
SUNNY TUESDAY & WEDNESDAY… Sunny days are ahead for Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the 50s on Tuesday ahead of mid-60s on Wednesday. Overnight lows will again be near or below freezing tonight with most spots settling near the 30 degree mark.
NEXT RAIN CHANCE: THURSDAY… Rain showers will return to our forecast on Thursday as an area of low pressure develops and moves east of the local area. For now, severe weather seems unlikely and even thunderstorms may be hard to come by due to the lack of atmospheric instability.
SUNNY, COOL WEEKEND AHEAD… The upcoming weekend looks nice, seasonal, and rather calm. High temperatures on Friday will be in the 50s with overnight lows likely to be in the 30s in many spots across the region. Sunny skies are likely Friday into Saturday.
