CLEARING SKIES TODAY; NICE, SEASONAL FEW DAYS AHEAD… Clouds will continue to clear out today with much cooler temperatures in place compared to yesterday. High temperatures will be in the low- to mid-50s across the region on this Monday. Cold nights are ahead with lows near or just below the freezing mark expected through Wednesday morning. Looking ahead, our next rain chance will set up this weekend although details concerning the potential for any severe weather issues remain a bit uncertain. A few more Monday morning forecast notes are below.

COLD NIGHTS AHEAD… Overnight lows will be near or just below the freezing mark by daybreak on Tuesday and on Wednesday. Cool days and cold nights will persist until we get to the end of the week when temperatures will moderate into the 60s by Friday.

TORNADO DAMAGE LAST NIGHT IN PARTS OF CONECUH AND BUTLER COUNTIES… The National Weather Service plans to conduct storm assessments into the tornado(es) that happened yesterday evening near McKenzie, AL and in parts of Conecuh County. I will post in the RedZone Weather app as soon as an Enhanced Fujita scale rating is assigned. That may be today or at some point tomorrow.
