MUCH COLDER AIR MOVING IN; SUNNY DAYS AHEAD… After the rain and thunderstorms move out of our region shortly, much cooler, drier air is set to take hold of our weather pattern. High temperatures today will actually happen this morning ahead of the arrival of the powerful cold front set to move completely across the region by the early afternoon hours. Temperatures will plummet into the 50s and 60s this afternoon into this evening. Overnight lows by Thursday at 6AM will be in the upper-30s and low-40s regionwide.
NICE, SUNNY DAYS AHEAD; WEEKEND LOOKS GREAT… Active weather this morning gives way to quiet weather over the next several days. Plenty of sunshine is ahead on Thursday and Friday and into the upcoming weekend. Temperatures will be quite chilly tomorrow with highs only around the 60 degree mark. We get a quick warmup on Friday as highs approach the upper-60s. Highs in the mid-70s are likely this weekend.
END OF 2022 HURRICANE SEASON… The 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season officially comes to an end today. This is the first hurricane season in several years when NO tropical storm or hurricane came close to the northern Gulf of Mexico! Hurricane Ian was the storm that came the closest to our region. The storm made landfall in southern Florida as a high-end category 4 hurricane.
