RAIN & STORMS RETURN THIS EVENING INTO FRIDAY; SOGGY FRIDAY & SATURDAY… Happy Thanksgiving! Clouds will increase in coverage across the region on this Thanksgiving Day. High temperatures will be in the low-70s this afternoon. A few showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two will be possible this afternoon ahead of the potential for heavier rain and thunderstorms in the overnight hours. While the overall severe weather risk with this passing system remains quite low, a few storms may produce loud thunder at times on Friday morning. Another round of rain is expected on Saturday.

DRY SUNDAY AND MONDAY; ACTIVE WEATHER MIDWEEK POSSIBLE… Early indications point to Sunday and Monday being dry, mostly sunny, and mild with high temperatures likely to be in the upper-60s and near 70. A dry pattern will likely persist into Tuesday ahead of increased rain chances in the middle part of the upcoming week. We note some early model indications point to the potential for a severe weather event across parts of the Deep South during the middle part of the upcoming week but it is far too early for any specifics on timing or placement or IF our local area will be involved in that potential. We are in our secondary severe weather season through the end of December, indicating a climatological uptick in terms of tornado activity.
