MOSTLY CLOUDY TODAY; RAIN & STORMS LIKELY THURSDAY EVENING… Skies will remain mostly cloudy throughout the day on this Tuesday. Just like yesterday, a few showers will be possible at times. Not every community will have rain before the end of the day. High temperatures will again be in the low-70s. The forecast for Wednesday is quite similar to today with clouds expected to hang tough throughout the day. Our next chance of significant rainfall happens on Thursday, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. A few more Tuesday morning forecast notes are below.
HUMID & MILD TODAY AND ON WEDNESDAY… Humidity levels will remain elevated with mild temperatures in place through Thursday. High temperatures are expected to be in the low-70s today and tomorrow ahead of highs in the mid- to upper-70s on Thursday. Overnight lows will be in the upper-50s tomorrow morning.
THUNDERSTORMS LIKELY THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY NIGHT… Rain and thunderstorms will become likely on Thursday in the afternoon and evening hours. There is a chance some of the thunderstorms may be on the strong side on Thursday evening with damaging wind gusts likely being the main concern. A low-end tornado risk may also develop, but this is more uncertain as we do not have a firm idea on just how far surface-based instability values will reach farther inland. Rain will continue to be possible into the early part of Friday morning before rain and storms clear out by late morning.
NICE, SUNNY WEEKEND AHEAD… Mostly sunny skies are expected Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday. Highs this weekend will be in the low-60s with morning lows around 40 degrees.
