RARE EXTREME COLD WARNING TONIGHT; WINTER STORM WATCH TUESDAY… Wind chill values in the single digits will be possible tomorrow (Monday) morning as breezy conditions make the air temperature feel about 10 degrees colder. Air temperatures will be in the upper 10s inland with low 20s likely closer to the coast by daybreak Monday morning. Tonight will be frigid ahead of highs only in the 30s and low 40s on Monday. Another very cold night is upcoming tomorrow night ahead of the potential for snow and mixed precipitation Tuesday into Tuesday night. A Winter Storm Watch is now in effect for all local counties Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. Please bring in all outdoor pets tonight! Very cold conditions for people and pets. We encourage everyone to check on friends and neighbors that may not have adequate heating sources.

EXTREME COLD WARNING IN EFFECT FOR ALL LOCAL COUNTIES OVERNIGHT INTO MONDAY… Frigid conditions have prompted the National Weather Service to issue an Extreme Cold Warning (formerly known as a Wind Chill Warning) for ALL counties in southwest Alabama and northwest Florida. This warning is in effect from 9PM this evening to 11AM Monday. This includes Monroeville, Dauphin Island, Fort Morgan, Bay Minette, Millry, Bayou La Batre, Luverne, Fairhope, Fort Pickens, Daphne, Pensacola Beach, Beulah, Gulf Breeze, Silas, Brewton, Theodore, Walnut Hill, Orange Beach, Ensley, Jay, Fort Walton Beach, Valparaiso, Greenville, Molino, Eglin AFB, Bagdad, Century, Chatom, Andalusia, Pensacola, Crestview, Destin, Camden, Evergreen, Foley, Spanish Fort, Perdido Bay, Pine Hill, Thomasville, Brantley, Stockton, Atmore, Gulf Shores, Butler, Navarre, Grove Hill, Flomaton, Citronelle, Opp, Mobile, Niceville, Milton, Prichard, Jackson, Grand Bay, Saraland, Seminole, Lisman, and surrounding areas in southwest Alabama and northwest Florida. Much of southeast Mississippi is also involved in this Extreme Cold Warning.
