WINTER STORM TODAY INTO TONIGHT; FINAL SNOW TOTALS PROJECTION… 2 to 4 inches of total snowfall is expected in many communities across south Alabama and northwest Florida today into tonight as a potentially historic winter storm moves across the Deep South. The greater snow amounts are likely closer to the coast, which is not normally what we see when we have wintry precipitation in our area. Snow totals will likely be less further inland, generally speaking. Regardless of the specific amount of snow you receive today, we all are involved in a Winter Storm Warning, meaning travel conditions will likely become dangerous. Please do not travel today unless it is absolutely necessary.
