RAIN & STORMS CLEAR OUT LATER TODAY; VERY COLD NIGHTS AHEAD… Showers and thunderstorms across the region this morning will continue to move east over the next few several hours. Most, if not all, of the rain should be gone to our east by 4PM. Very cold air is set to move in this evening behind the advancing area of low pressure and cold front. High temperatures today will be in the low 50s. Low temperatures will be below freezing tonight with most spots reaching the upper 20s by 6AM Thursday morning.

LOWS BELOW FREEZING TONIGHT AND AGAIN TOMORROW NIGHT; HIGHS ONLY IN 40s THURSDAY… Keep the jackets handy over the next couple of days as very cold temperatures will be in place across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Lows will be in the upper 20s overnight with high temperatures only in the mid to upper 40s on Thursday. Overnight lows tomorrow night into Friday morning will be in the low to mid 20s, near hard freeze territory.

DRY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY; SCATTERED SHOWERS POSSIBLE SUNDAY… The first half of the upcoming weekend is expected to be dry with high temperatures in the low 50s on Friday and upper 50s on Saturday. Scattered showers may become possible on Sunday, particularly in the morning hours, as an area of low pressure passes nearby. Highs on Sunday will be near the 60 degree mark.

WARMING TEMPERATURES NEXT WEEK… This cold snap beginning today won’t last too long. High temperatures will be in the upper 60s Monday and the mid 70s Tuesday. Sunshine is expected on both Monday and Tuesday of the upcoming week.
