BRIGHT, SUNNY WEDNESDAY; FEW SHOWERS POSSIBLE ON THURSDAY… Fantastic late February weather is expected across south Alabama and northwest Florida on this Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s today with mostly sunny skies likely throughout the day. Overnight lows will be in the mid 40s by 6AM tomorrow. Isolated showers will become possible across the region on Thursday as a weak cold front moves from northwest to southeast. This frontal boundary will not usher in any colder air but it will have enough energy associated with it to spark off a few showers. General (non-severe) thunderstorms are not out of the question, but I expect most of the thunderstorms tomorrow to happen to our northeast across parts of east Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas.

BEAUTIFUL WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND… Mostly sunny skies are likely on Friday and Saturday with highs in the low to mid 70s. Partly cloudy skies are likely on Sunday with highs near 70°. Overall, this will be the nicest weather weekend we have had in quite some time. Perfect weather for an outdoor activity in the afternoon hours of Saturday and Sunday!

RAIN & STORMS POSSIBLE NEXT WEEK… Early indications point to the potential for scattered showers becoming possible on Monday and Tuesday ahead of thunderstorms being possible on Wednesday of the upcoming week. Some model guidance has intermittently suggested the possibility of a few severe storms, but it is too early to know with any degree of confidence IF severe weather is a real possibility. This is normal this time of year – something to watch in the days ahead but nothing to panic or lose sleep over. I’ll keep you posted every step of the way in the RedZone Weather app.
