CLEARING SKIES TODAY; RAIN RETURNS SATURDAY… After a night with storms, sunshine returns on this Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s across the region with some spots in west Alabama likely to only peak in the upper 50s. Chilly temperatures are expected in the overnight hours with most spots falling into the upper 30s by 6AM Thursday. More sunshine is expected on Thursday with highs projected to be in the upper 60s. Friday will be a dry day ahead of showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms becoming possible Friday night.

RAIN AND STORMS LIKELY AT TIMES SATURDAY… Saturday will almost certainly be the wettest day of the next 7 days with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms expected. We have an area of low pressure set to cross our region from west to east, paving the way for what could be quite a wet day on Saturday. For now, the overall severe weather parameters remain quite low but I would not be surprised if we had some loud thunderstorms involved at times, particularly in areas closer to the coast. This event is something I will be monitoring over the next few days. I’ll have plenty of updates posted in the RedZone Weather app, particularly if we see severe weather parameters increasing. At this point, we do not, thankfully. Lingering showers will be possible on Sunday.

SUNNY, NICE MONDAY AND TUESDAY… Early next week looks quite nice with an abundance of sunshine on both Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s with morning lows in the 40s.
