STORMS APPROACHING SOUTHERN MOBILE COUNTY… Two storms I am closely monitoring as of 10:33PM:
One cell may produce large hail in parts of far southern Mobile County (near Bayou La Batre, Coden, Alabama Port, and Heron Bay) over the next 30-45 minutes. Don’t be surprised if a severe thunderstorm warning is needed for parts of southern Mobile County if this storm holds its current intensity.
The other cell of note is in Jones County, Mississippi, just north of Hattiesburg. That cell has prompted a severe thunderstorm warning due to the threat of quarter size hail and 60 mph wind gusts. That cell will move into Wayne County, MS and may move into Washington County, AL in about an hour.
