FOG THIS MORNING; SUNNY LATER TODAY; UNSETTLED PATTERN RETURNS THIS WEEKEND… Fog is dense in many communities across the region on this Tuesday. Fog will burn off by 10-11AM at the latest and skies will be sunny as we get into the afternoon and early evening hours. High temperatures will be in the low 80s inland with upper 70s near the coast today. We have a slew of nice, warm days upcoming through Friday. Rain chances will rise slightly on Saturday and Sunday ahead of a chance of thunderstorms on Monday.

NICE, DRY CONDITIONS THROUGH FRIDAY… Partly cloudy, nice, warm days are expected Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. High temperatures will be near the 80 degree mark each day. No rain is expected through Friday.

SEVERE WEATHER RISK SUNDAY, MAINLY FOR AREAS TO OUR NORTH… The Storm Prediction Center introduced an expansive Level 2 (out of 5) severe weather risk that includes much of Alabama, northwest Florida, and Mississippi, along with numerous states to our north as well. This could be a widespread, significant severe weather event across several states. The good news for south Alabama and northwest Florida is that we are on the far southern side of the risk zone. There is a chance we are taken out of the risk zone entirely in the days ahead. Right now, most of the model guidance shows the worst of the action setting up well to our north. Tornadoes, damaging wind gusts, and hail will be possible with this system, but it is too early for specifics as far as what areas get the worst of the hazards. This is something we will be watching in the days ahead. I’ll bring you the latest in the RedZone Weather app.

APP… If you haven’t already, be sure to download the free RedZone Weather app to keep up with all the latest information on the world of weather in south Alabama and northwest Florida. redzoneweather.com/app is the link for the free download.
