SCATTERED STORMS THIS AFTERNOON INTO THIS EVENING… Spotty showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon into this evening across south Alabama and northwest Florida. Not every community will have rain and storms before the end of the day, but some inevitably will. Any storms that ramp up this afternoon into this evening will be capable of producing cloud-to-ground lightning, loud thunder, and heavy downpours of rain. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s today.
GREATEST CHANCE OF RAIN TODAY BETWEEN 1PM AND 8PM… Most locations across the region will remain dry this morning. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will begin popping up around midday. The greatest concentration of showers and thunderstorms on this Tuesday will happen from 1PM to 8PM. Widespread severe storms are not expected locally today.
VERY LOW-END RAIN CHANCES WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY, AND FRIDAY… Rain chances won’t ever go down to zero during the daytime hours later this week but any storms that pop up on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be few and far between with MOST communities across the region remaining dry. Warm conditions are expected later this week with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
HIGH TEMPERATURES NEAR 90° THIS WEEKEND… This will likely be the warmest weekend our local area has had so far this year with high temperatures projected to be in the upper 80s. Some communities may hit the 90 degree mark on Saturday and/or on Sunday.
