INTERMITTENT, PASSING CLOUDS AND WARM TODAY; FEW P.M. STORMS… Consistency in our ongoing weather pattern is expected to continue today with increasing heat, humidity, and a chance of P.M. pop-up storms. We are in a pattern that is quite similar to the pattern we regularly have in the summer months across south Alabama and northwest Florida. High temperatures today will be in the mid to upper 80s. The pattern is set to remain the same as we get into the weekend with a chance of P.M. storms each day. Temperatures will creep even higher as we get into Saturday and Sunday with highs in the low 90s.
NOT EXPECTING SEVERE STORMS; P.M. STORMS EACH DAY… Rain chances will never be at zero today, tomorrow, this weekend, or early next week. Temperatures will continue to be a bit above our climatological norms for this time of year. If you have outdoor plans this weekend, most locales will probably remain dry but be aware that randomly-placed, pop-up showers and thunderstorms will be possible. Rain chances will probably be a bit greater on Sunday compared to Saturday. Most of the rain and storms will happen in the P.M. hours each day.
