SCATTERED STORMS TODAY AND SATURDAY… Scattered showers and thunderstorms will likely develop today and again on Saturday across parts of south Alabama and northwest Florida as a cold front approaches our local area from the northwest. Spotty storms will likely be a bit more numerous inland today compared to places closer to the coast. Rain chances increase tomorrow across the entire region. High temperatures today and tomorrow will be in the mid 80s.

STORMS AT TIMES; SEVERE WEATHER RISK REMAINS LOW LOCALLY… Storms will be scattered in nature both today and tomorrow. There is a real chance, particularly today, that some communities don’t have any rain at all. It won’t rain all day in any given community where storms do happen, however. Tomorrow will likely feature an increase in the coverage of scattered storms, particularly in the P.M. hours.

DRY START TO NEXT WEEK… Our local weather pattern will trend toward drier conditions starting on Sunday. High temperatures on Sunday will be in the upper 70s and low 80s. Monday and Tuesday will likely be dry days with mostly sunny skies on Monday and partly cloudy skies on Tuesday. Highs will be in the low 80s. Overnight lows will be in the 50s starting Saturday night into Sunday morning. This may be the last time we will have 50s until the fall months.

SCATTERED SHOWERS & STORMS RETURN TOWARD END OF NEXT WEEK… Rain chances will rise as we get into the latter part of the upcoming week with multiple chances of scattered storms starting on Wednesday and Thursday.
