HEAVY RAIN LIKELY TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY; FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE… Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely at times tomorrow (Tuesday) night into Wednesday morning as we kick off a wet and unsettled pattern that will extend into Thursday as well. Flash flooding may become a concern in some areas locally, particularly across west Alabama, southeast Mississippi, and portions of Louisiana where higher rain amounts are likely. For now, the overall risk of severe storms (tornadoes and damaging winds) remains quite low. This looks to be a big rain event with a flash flooding risk.
Tuesday will be a dry day, for the most part, with only a limited chance of isolated showers and storms during the daytime hours. Rain chances increase starting tomorrow night.
I will have a full, detailed update in the next regularly scheduled RedZone Weather forecast video that will be posted by 7:15AM tomorrow morning.
