PARTLY CLOUDY TUESDAY; RAIN LIKELY OVERNIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY… Skies will transition from partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies as we get into the afternoon and evening hours. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible today but I expect most communities will remain dry. Rain and thunderstorms return to our local area tonight into Wednesday. There is a real chance we have heavy rain at times Wednesday. It appears much of the daytime hours of Wednesday, particularly the morning, will be wet. Showers and storms will likely be numerous across the region. The good news is the overall risk of severe storms remains quite low. Flash flooding may quickly become an issue if storms train over the same areas. High temperatures on this Tuesday will be in the upper 70s and low 80s.

HEAVY RAIN & FLASH FLOODING CONCERNS ON WEDNESDAY… Rain is expected to be heavy at times tomorrow morning extending into the afternoon hours. Flash flooding may quickly become a concern as this rain will be falling in areas that received quite a bit of rain last weekend. These “antecedent conditions” point to flash flooding potentially being significant if storms train over the same areas. Plan for rain, and potentially heavy rain, at times Wednesday morning into the afternoon hours. We probably will dry out tomorrow evening ahead of more rain and storms Thursday evening.
